Coronavirus (COVID-19): What You Need to know

(Updated September 1st)

At Grand View Camp, the safety and well-being of our staff and guests continue to be our top priority. In light of the recent concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have evaluated our health and safety procedures that are already in place and taken additional precautionary steps where needed. We are carefully following our state and local Department of Health guidelines.

God blessed us with incredible weeks of summer camp, we have remained open for custom camps and are looking forward to our fall retreat season.

I understand many of you may be hesitant to register with the uncertainties surrounding the virus. If the local Department of Health issues guidance that meant either the camp or the campers had to change their schedule because of the virus, we will gladly refund those fees in full. Please contact us if you have any questions.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What additional safety measures are you putting in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

We have developed a comprehensive set of guidelines in consultation with the Arizona Department of Health and the Apache County Department of Health. These guidelines are available in the sidebar link. We are also sending screening forms to all guests before arrival in addition to screening them for symptoms upon arrival.

Has anyone at Grand View acquired COVID-19?
No. To the best of our knowledge, no current staff members have acquired COVID-19, neither have any guests tested positive during their time at camp.

Any other thoughts for us as we plan to attend camp?
We do ask that all potential volunteers and campers be symptom free of fever and respiratory illness for 14 days before arriving at camp. Thank you for working with us to ensure the health of our campers, staff, and community. We look forward to seeing you soon.
