IS IT WORTH IT?

For the last 20 years, we have been asking this question. We believe that nothing at Grand View should ever be done without purpose. To determine if what we do is worth it, we always go back to our mission - Grand View Camp exists to glorify God by serving local churches through using the unique atmosphere of camp to display the good news of Jesus Christ.

Question:
Will the Activity Center help us to glorify God by serving local churches?

Answer:

God is growing His churches in the West, and He has been blessing us by giving us more opportunity to serve them. We have been bursting at the seams these past few summers. The Activity Center is the first step in expanding Grand View so that we can serve more local churches.

Question:
Will the Activity Center be part of the unique atmosphere of camp that helps display the good news of Jesus Christ?

Answer:

The Activity Center will be used both as an indoor activity space as well as a new chapel space where the Gospel of Jesus will be boldly proclaimed. We believe that God will use the preaching of His Word to touch many lives.

IT IS WORTH IT!

THE SCOOP ON PHASE 2

Chapel Space

Our current chapel space in the basement of the Lodge is maxed out every summer at 250 chairs. The Activity Center will become our new chapel space with seating for about 450. This will also set us up to expand our overall hosting capacity in the near future.

More Offices

Just as God is growing His churches in the West, God has also been growing our full-time staff! In just the past couple years, we went from only 2 full-time staff to 5. The Activity Center will give us the room for more office space as God continues to grow our team of servant leaders.

Indoor Activities

Hosting camps and conferences in Arizona mean that monsoons as well as snow can quickly cause us to change plans. The Activity Center will give us a large, indoor space that can be used when outdoor activities are not an option.

Other Details

In God's incredible provision through a generous donor, we recently received the $150k necessary to erect the metal shell of the building! Our goal is to have the shell up by December 2025. The shell will allow us to use the building as an indoor activity space until the Lord provides the rest of the funds for the regulation sized basketball court, sound system, and bathrooms that will make it possible to have chapel services.

OUR GOAL

Currently, we have been gifted a total of $700k towards this $1.3 million project. We have seen God provide in miraculous ways in the past, and we are praying that He will provide the remaining $600k by the end of January 2026. This would allow us to use the Activity Center by THIS SUMMER, putting us a year ahead of schedule!

God has faithfully provided for us in the last 20 years of our camp history. Ever since Camp on Wheels in 2005, God has proved time and time again that He is our Provider, most often by providing through His people.

Will you consider partnering with us in the mission of displaying the Good News of Jesus Christ?

A MESSAGE FROM MATT

"In 2005, Pastor Randy Wilson followed the Lord’s leading and started Camp on Wheels. The vision that drove everything he did was with the right philosophy and the right people, we could do camp in a parking lot. From tents in the National Forest to a rental camp in Alpine, The Lord blessed us with a beautiful ‘parking lot’ in the White Mountains of Eagar, Arizona, where we run camp by God’s grace to this day.

"Every single year, we rely on God to bring us the right people to help us run summer camp. These people give of themselves and choose to serve alongside of us because they desire to glorify God by serving local churches. Without them, Grand View would not exist. God has shown His great faithfulness to us by bringing the right people to us every year for 20 years. God indeed provides through His people.

"As we look ahead to the Activity Center project, we are confident that the Lord will provide through His people again. Whether it be through those who give of their time or through those who give of their finances, God will work, and in Him our confidence will remain."
